Etz Chaim Committees
Etz Chaim’s distinctive ethos of volunteerism helps make our community a dynamic and vibrant one. Etz Chaim members, working together with the professional, office and part-time staff, supervise and perform the work of the congregation through standing committees. A shining example of volunteerism at Etz Chaim is the staffing of our religious school primarily by member volunteers.
In addition to volunteerism, the congregation’s values include: Nurturing the highest ideals of Judaism through the study and observance of Torah, worship and social action; fostering a personal and communal Jewish identity through educational, cultural and social programs; providing a caring and comfortable environment for all members; and ensuring that all members can participate in activities regardless of financial means. Our committees work to provide these programs and achieve these goals for the congregation. A list of committee chair people can be found here.
