Coming up this year are both an
Intro to Judaism class and an Adult B’nai Mitzvah class. These are
wonderful study opportunities for people to come and learn. Please sign up

Introduction
to Judaism classes are being offered by Congregation Etz Chaim!!
Have you ever desired to know
more about Judaism? Do you know some things about Jewish holidays, Jewish
prayers and Jewish Customs, but want to know even more? Then this class is
for you! From September 9th to February 3rd, join Rabbi Bob
and Rabbi Cosnowsky on Sundays from 12:30-2:30 PM for a hands-on course that
introduces beginners to the basics of Jewish thought and practice. The class is
a mix of study, discussion and practical experiences designed for all
interested in exploring Jewish life. Topics include: Jewish holidays and life
cycle events, theology and prayer, Israel, history and some beginning
Hebrew.
This class is for those who
were born Jewish, but who are looking to further their understanding of
Judaism, Interfaith couples who are raising Jewish children and are looking for
some support as well as for non-Jews considering conversion.
The cost for the class is $310
for an individual or a couple. (Couples only receive one set of books.)
Childcare is available if you need it for $5 per child, per

Adult
B’nai Mitzvah class starting in February 2013
This 6 month class culminates
in having an Adult B’nai Mitzvah on July 20, 2013. It is open to those
who have an introductory or higher ability in Hebrew reading, and who have
taken the Synagogue Customs class. The class will begin on February 10th,
2013 and will be taught by Rabbi Bob, Rabbi Cosnowsky and Cindy
Michelassi. The class will meet on Sunday afternoons from
