Listening Session Wrap-Up- November 15th

Interested in issues related to Job Loss and the Economy?
Care about supporting others within our synagogue community?
Want to Build Connections and/or Stay Connected with other congregants and keep up to date on Issues of Importance to Jews?

The Listening Session effort wrapped up November 15th during a working luncheon attended by 40 congregants. Although that may sound like an ending, it is actually a beginning. The Listening Sessions yielded valuable information about the types of opportunities congregants would like the synagogue to provide. Synagogue members are now invited to join three working groups that will focus on critical need areas identified in the Listening Sessions (topics listed above).

The working groups will be led by dedicated Etz Chaim congregants and will receive support and training from the URJ’s Just Congregations and community organizers within DuPage United. Synagogue members who participate in a working group will help determine how the congregation will be served in that area going forward. If you are interested in participating or learning more, contact one of the effort’s leaders: Bruce Miller, Harriet Rose, Garry Gardner, Barbara Margolis and Mary Hason. Meeting times to be determined.
