Shabbat Programs for Children
We are offering several Shabbat programs for the young children in the congregation.
Shabbat Chaverim meets once or twice a month on a Friday morning from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM. This is a parent/grandparent - tot program. Each session we do a craft, have play time, music with Cindy Michelassi and, of course a snack. We recite the Shabbat blessings and then have challah and juice. It is fun for the children and an opportunity for parents/ grandparents to meet new people. Even though reservations are not mandatory, we would appreciate knowing how many are coming so we have enough supplies.

Tot Shabbat meets once a month, beginning at 6:30 PM which lasts about 30 minutes. Tot Shabbat services are geared to families with very young children. The brief service, led by one of our rabbis and our congregation song leader, consists of a few prayers. The little ones gather in the sanctuary with their parents and/or grandparents, followed by an oneg Shabbat in the preschool room. During the service the children carry their own special little Torahs around during the hakafah.
Tot Shabbat Plus meets four times during the year. This program meets in the lower level social hall on Saturday mornings at 9:30 AM. We have a very short service, followed by a story and song. Then there is a craft project for the children to do with help from parents, followed by Kiddush with challah, juice and snack.

All of these activities are independent of each other.
